Under the supervision of the Senior Radiologic Technologist, you will provide direct patient care services and other related functions in support of the department. You will perform independently within the scope of department policies and clinically work at the direction of a qualified Radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Properly perform all diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiologic techniques and examinations, consistent with the age of the patient, within in-patient or outpatient settings, in compliance with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Accurately complete all exams, paperwork, and submit promptly.
• Position and transfer patients appropriately.
• Assist physicians with interventional exams.
• Promptly and properly complete exams, perform QA on images, and send exams to PACS for review by the radiologist.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly inventory.
• Provide Radiological technology skills to perform all exams including portables, Emergency Department work, C-ARM, fluoroscopy, and general radiology procedures.
• Assist with other job-related duties including film hanging, office duties, and discrepancy documentation and follow-up.
• Comply with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Attend a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
• Demonstrate use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and requirements.

• Perform other similar and related duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
