Virtual Hematology APP- Full Time NP/PA

About the role

Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute is looking for an experienced full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specialized in Hematology/Oncology to provide quality health services to the patients in the Charlotte and surrounding community. The Virtual Classical Hematology APP position at LCI Concord in Concord, NC is open to either a nurse practitioner (NP) and/or physician assistant (PA) and will see a variety of classical (non-malignant) hematology disorders.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient consults and follow-ups

Schedule

• Clinic is open Monday – Friday
• Schedule consists of 4 days/10-hour shift or 5 days/8-hour shifts
• 75% virtual and 25% in person

Work environment

• 12 physicians, 5 APPs in LCI Concord
• Functions primarily in the outpatient setting caring for classical hematology patients
• Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills when working in a fast-paced, high-acuity work environment

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
• Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required
• BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required
• Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice
• Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred
• Current or pending CAQ certification preferred
• If nurse practitioner, FNP preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology as an APP
