About the role
Bassett Healthcare Network is a progressive academic health system in Central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University. The Bassett Regional Cancer Program, accredited as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer since 1947, participates in NCI‑sponsored clinical trials through ECOG‑ACRIN and offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary model that includes onsite radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurse navigators, social workers, financial counselors, nutritionists, and palliative care practitioners. The role provides outpatient oncology care at the Cancer Treatment Centers in Cooperstown and FoxCare Oneonta, features no call responsibilities, a 4‑day work week, and is part of a multi‑specialty group with a closed medical staff of over 600 practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient oncology care at the Cooperstown and Oneonta Cancer Treatment Centers
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists
- Work with nurse navigators, social workers, financial counselors, nutritionists, and palliative care practitioners
- Participate in NCI‑sponsored clinical trials via the ECOG‑ACRIN network
- Maintain no call responsibilities
- Follow a 4‑day work week schedule
Requirements
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current New York State licensure
- Oncology experience or knowledge preferred
- BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification required

Pay
- Base salary range: $122,000 – $140,000
- Sign‑on bonus: up to $50,000
