Summary

The Research Administration Specialist I supports the Research Division at Moffitt Cancer Center, overseeing administrative operations and providing support to department chairs, leaders, and program activities. This role is foundational in ensuring the division's efficient operation and professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external users to capture context, problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, and business needs.

  • Analyze and document business, stakeholder, functional, and non-functional requirements in support of strategic and/or operational initiatives and projects.

  • Facilitate sessions to define project scope and requirements, working across multiple business and technical domains.

  • Develop and execute requirements gathering methodologies and follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Design and develop effective Virtual Health solutions, including reports and dashboards, using available tools.

  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from Moffitt data users, perform data extracts, queries, create reports, fix identified data issues, and address technical questions.

  • Maintain quality and compliance of services to ensure excellence in patient and clinician care.

  • Monitor vendor practices for compliance and bring quality and value to services.

  • Track and manage existing account usage for clinicians, patients, and families to deliver virtual health services aligned with Moffitt's branded experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Design, Health care, or related field required.

  • OR Associate's Degree with 7 years of IT systems support and analysis experience.

  • OR High School diploma/GED with 9 years of IT systems support and analysis experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with IT or Business Project roles for analysis, development, and testing.

  • Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with facilitating sessions to define scope and requirements of medium to large projects.

  • Preferred: Experience supporting consumer-facing products, demonstrated knowledge of program support, informational architecture, and ongoing product optimization.
