Vietnamese Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours, offering great job satisfaction and the opportunity to make a difference in your community. We have an immediate need for Vietnamese interpreters in the Lincoln area.

Requirements

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
• IN PERSON interpreters only; must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Proof of vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions considered)

Schedule

The schedule is PRN (as needed), part-time (or less depending on languages spoken), and flexible based on interpreter availability and preferences. Applicants must have some availability Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM, as this is when services are typically needed. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken, and client needs.
