Vietnamese Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to use their cultural knowledge to help non-English speakers in their community. We have an immediate need for Vietnamese interpreters in the Omaha area.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for clients in the Omaha area
• Use online portal to print and upload vouchers
• Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Must have transportation to attend local appointments
• Access to a printer
• Technical skills for learning and using an online portal
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Pass background checks and drug screens
• Provide proof of vaccination or medical/religious exemption documentation

Schedule

PRN (as needed), part-time (or less depending on languages spoken) with flexible hours based on interpreter's availability and preferences. Applicants must have some availability Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, as this is when services are typically needed.

This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken, and client needs. Please include all languages you speak in your resume.
