Videojet Field Service Technician - Salisbury, MD (Home-based, Company Vehicle)

About the role

This is a home-based role in Salisbury, MD or surrounding areas (Delmarva Peninsula). Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting customer equipment, including installation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of Videojet devices located at customer sites. This role requires building strong, trusted relationships with customers and providing expert guidance to address their needs.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the Salisbury, MD (Delmarva Peninsula) territory to support manufacturing customers, with most work completed during the day, limited overnight travel, and occasional voluntary overtime.
• Provide ongoing care and support for customer equipment.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Videojet coding and marking equipment at customer facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues and deliver effective, timely solutions.
• Become a trusted advisor and partner for customers to develop excellent relationships.
• Promote Videojet service agreements and newer technology to extend our market footprint.

Travel is primarily regional within the Delmarva Peninsula and is planned in advance to allow flexibility in managing schedules, routes, and customer visits. Overnight travel is occasional and not routine.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of technical, mechanical, electrical, or field service experience.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to comply with customer safety requirements, PPE standards, and site access policies.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Technical degree preferred and/or relevant military training; other backgrounds welcome with relevant work history.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, lift, stretch, bend, and squat throughout the day.
• Comfort with day travel and home most evenings, but occasional overnight travel.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $28.00 - $30.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay. The range reflects possible compensation at the time of posting and may be modified in the future.
