About the Role
The videographer is responsible for carrying out all aspects of the development and production of best-in-class video and advertising content. Projects include company branding, documentary, entertaining, inspirational, and educational videos about the home, as well as commercial production for television and streaming broadcast.
Responsibilities
- Scout locations, set lighting, and shoot quality video content while recording clean audio.
- Conceptualize and execute video ads based on business needs, from strategy to final production.
- Interview and direct video subjects and talent from behind the camera.
- Develop creative concepts, scripts, and storyboards for video projects.
- Perform non-linear video editing, rendering, and encoding.
- Create and manipulate motion graphics using Premier Pro and After Effects on Mac-based technology.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team and cross-functional partners, providing feedback and support.
- Assist with still photography, including retouching, resizing, and employee headshots as needed.
- Organize and file finished projects and raw footage for future use.
- Work with media buying agencies to deliver broadcast ads on time and meet deadlines.
- Understand OTT streaming advertising, program ads online, measure KPIs, and report results to leadership.
- Craft AI prompts to enhance scriptwriting, AI voice-over, animation, topic discovery, and workflow efficiency.
- Utilize AI tools to streamline production and editing while maintaining creative judgment and on-camera direction.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Communications or a related field, and/or two years of industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field from an accredited university (preferred).
- Two years of video editing and production experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with production equipment, including Canon C-100/C-300 cameras, wireless lavaliers, shotgun microphones, and dolly tracks.
- Strong storytelling, conceptual, lighting, cinematography, and video editing skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Onsite position.
Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones. The role requires regular communication (talking/hearing) and specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
