Video Production Intern
Position Summary
The Video Production Assistant Intern will support the development of professional training, maintenance, and marketing videos for public transportation technology systems. This position offers hands-on experience in all aspects of video production, including planning, filming, editing, and publishing content that will be used by technicians, customers, and the marketing team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in planning, scripting, and storyboarding training and marketing videos.
- Record high-quality video and audio in office, laboratory, and field environments.
- Edit video footage using professional editing software.
- Create titles, graphics, animations, captions, and transitions.
- Produce maintenance and installation training videos for technical equipment and systems.
- Aid in customer-facing marketing videos showcasing products and services.
- Organize and maintain video files, project assets, and media libraries.
- Photograph products, equipment, and installation processes for documentation and promotional materials.
- Coordinate with engineering, field service technicians, quality assurance, and marketing personnel to ensure technical accuracy.
- Aid in maintaining consistency in branding, formatting, and production quality across all videos.
- Aid in setting up lighting, cameras, microphones, and other production equipment.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, or trade shows to capture video content when required.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Video Production, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Design, Film Production, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
- Experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn technical products and translate complex procedures into easy-to-follow instructional videos.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing instructional or educational videos.
- Basic motion graphics or animation experience.
- Photography experience.
- Experience operating DSLR, mirrorless, or professional video cameras.
- Knowledge of YouTube, social media content creation, or digital marketing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (Drone) is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and transport video equipment up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while filming.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00.
