Video Production Assistant

About the role

University Marketing & Communications is seeking a creative and dependable individual to assist with the creation and delivery of marketing videos and photo content. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of video editing experience, preferably with Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve, and a keen eye for detail and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize assets – keywording/renaming files on our server
• Work with marketing managers and follow guidance to complete video edits
• Operate DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio during productions
• Communicate and update status of tasks in Clickup (project management platform)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of video editing experience
• Familiarity with Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve
• Understanding of foundational skills related to shooting video and photography
• Proficiency in export settings – resolution, codecs, bitrate
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Additionally, the work environment can include numerous hours standing and holding heavy equipment.
