About the role

The New York Post Internship Program offers a dynamic, hands-on experience designed to give interns exposure to real-world work within the media and news industry. This internship is for the Video Field Production team, which captures and edits content outside the studios using DSLR cameras. The role is part-time (24 hrs/week) and runs from September 14, 2026, to November 20, 2026, with an on-site work schedule.

Open to current juniors, seniors, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in field shoots using DSLR cameras
  • Help with video editing in Premiere Pro
  • Research stories and trends to help shape video content
  • Write video headlines and descriptions for digital platforms
  • Create thumbnails and promotional assets in Photoshop
  • Pull, organize, and maintain video gear for shoots

Requirements

  • A strong interest in video production and digital media
  • Basic experience with DSLR cameras and Premiere Pro (Photoshop is a plus!)
  • Interest in researching and writing for digital video
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
