Position Summary

Video Production Interns will participate in a training program that includes classroom and on-the-job training focusing on member service, MSUFCU culture and philosophies, product knowledge, computer systems, and compliance. This is a learning position where interns perform various functions specific to their field of study, including completing department-specific projects and meeting with management.

About the Role

The MSUFCU Internship Program supports interns in developing career readiness competencies as defined by NACE. Interns gain hands-on experience and enhance essential skills for career growth, including career and self-development, communication, critical thinking, equity and inclusion, leadership, professionalism, teamwork, and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design graphics, special effects, and other visual images using pictures, video, etc. for use in a broad variety of marketing/Credit Union initiatives
  • Write scripts for videos (TV commercials) and radio spots
  • Select music for videos (TV commercials) and radio spots
  • Utilize Adobe Suite products such as Premier and After Effects
  • Aid in the development, research, and maintenance of video content for MSUFCU social media platforms
  • Coordinate many video-related functions to promote the credit union to the membership and new members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Actively pursuing Associate or Bachelor degree in related field of study
  • High level of creative thinking, visual storytelling, and written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with DSLR cameras, and audio and lighting equipment
  • Demonstrates empathy and a commitment to providing superior member service
  • Ability to assess member needs and offer alternatives
  • Seeks continuous learning and improvement through feedback and other means
  • Self-starter able to work successfully in a team-oriented environment
  • Open to change and to considerable variety in the workplace

  • May be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Occasionally needs to move about inside of office area
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery
  • Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize exposure

Skills

  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite products such as Premier and After Effects
  • Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools
  • Computer and phone usage

Schedule

Part-Time 15-25/week; Hours will be scheduled based on student's school schedule and business hours (8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday-Friday)
