Video Evidence Administrator

About The Position
This is an entry-level professional, technical, and administrative position focused on supporting the implementation and management of the Police Department’s video evidence program. Duties may include inventory tracking, training employees, maintaining custody of evidentiary audio/video recordings, responding to inquiries, reviewing and redacting digital evidence and duplicating media for trial support or discovery. Additionally, the incumbent may be responsible for equipment maintenance, and assisting with the selection, research, and testing of new or updated hardware and software.
In this role, the incumbent will act as a vital liaison between internal Divisions/Districts, management, and external solution providers. The incumbent will work under close supervision from a higher-level Project Coordinator or designated supervisor, and is evaluated in terms of accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Tracks inventory and manage lifecycles for video evidence assets.
- Maintains custody of audio/video recordings and handle duplication for trials.
- Reviews and redacts digital evidence.
- Serves as a contact point between county agencies and technology vendors.
- Assists with software/hardware testing and employee training.
- Performs tasks and duties willingly and cooperatively which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but which are within the general occupational category and responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s class of work.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet all minimum qualifications listed below to be eligible for additional consideration:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of experience utilizing audio and video recording equipment to edit and extract data.
- Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered.

Pay
The salary range listed in this announcement reflects the offer range for this position. Offers made within this range are based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Schedule

- Job location: Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
- Upon selection, the candidate must be willing to adjust work schedule to include working Saturdays and Sundays when required.
