Healthful Stories is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that conducts in-depth interviews with people living with chronic and complex health conditions. We exist to document the real patient journey: the delays, the barriers, and the turning points in a way that will have the greatest impact on those living with similar illnesses. Our interviews are structured and informational, not just inspirational.

Responsibilities

• Transform raw interview footage into polished, purposeful content that centers the patient voice without sensationalizing it
• Create short-form clips for social media
• Edit longer documentary-style segments
• Edit excerpts for advocacy and research audiences

Requirements

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent
• An eye for documentary-style editing — patient and precise, not flashy
• Ability to work from a brief and meet agreed-upon deadlines
• Experience with caption and subtitle workflows is a plus
