Video Editor
About the role
Join Utah Valley University as a Part-Time Video Editor and bring stories to life through creative, polished, and engaging video content. In this role, you'll collaborate with the Studios & Broadcast Services team and campus clients to produce a variety of projects, from single-camera videos to cinema and broadcast productions. You'll use your expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to shape compelling visual stories through thoughtful editing, pacing, music, sound, and effects. This is an opportunity to apply your creativity and technical skills to meaningful projects that support UVU and its campus community.
Responsibilities
- Assists in video editing and design
- Assists in setting up or striking productions
- Assists in camera production
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree or any combination of education and/or full-time experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling two years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of professional editing techniques
- Knowledge of framing and composition
- Knowledge of color correction software & techniques
Skills:
- Skills in Premier Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Skills in editing audio for video
Abilities:
- Ability to edit creatively
- Ability to create and edit a story from available assets
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work efficiently and complete projects
