About the role
The Vice Principal provides high-level instructional leadership and administrative support to the Elementary School Principal to promote the educational development of all students and staff. This role is responsible for leading, directing, and supervising a variety of personnel and programs while fostering a collaborative environment between teachers, students, and families.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily school operations
- Mentor and evaluate staff
- Participate in MTSS and SEL initiatives
- Lead the revision, implementation, and continuous evaluation of curriculum
- Engage with students and families regarding academic progress, social-emotional development, and behavioral needs
- Develop, administer, and enforce student conduct policies
- Support instructional staff in resolving complex or serious disciplinary issues
- Coordinate student activities, special programs, field trips, and school-wide events
- Serve as the chief administrator and represent the principal in their absence
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the area of major study or a related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a diverse learning environment
- At least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in Principal/Assistant Principal (Grades PreK-8) and SEI Endorsement for Administrators

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personnel, legal, financial, and student information
- Ability to interact with early childhood students at their eye level
- Specialized knowledge of IDEA and Massachusetts special education regulations (603 CMR 28.00)
- Ability to interpret complex evaluative reports and medical data

Pay
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a 2026-2027 school year contract.
