Vice President (VP), HR Business Partners
About the role
The Vice President (VP), HR Business Partners reports to the Chief People Officer and is responsible for providing Human Resource leadership to align human resource initiatives with enterprise and business unit strategies. This role consults with senior business leaders to drive key people initiatives with a hands-on, collaborative approach, serving as a trusted advisor and sounding board for the business leadership team.
The VP leads a team of HR Business Partners, managing Employee Relations, HR & Workplace Policies, Performance and Talent Management, policy administration, regulatory compliance, and related programs. This position works across the HR function on enterprise initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment with the company’s goals, culture, values, and future organizational requirements. The VP also manages and mentors the HR Business Partner Team, providing training, coaching, and guidance to deepen the organization’s HR expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Human Resource programs and initiatives in a dynamic environment, advocating best practices and progressive, cost-effective methodologies.
- Partner with business leaders to manage Employee Relations, HR & Workplace Policies, Performance and Talent Management, including policy administration and regulatory compliance.
- Lead data capture, reporting, measures, and metrics for HR programs.
- Collaborate on enterprise-wide HR initiatives, providing expertise and organizational perspective to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Manage and mentor the HR Business Partner Team, including talent selection, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Drive change within the organization, including policy development and process/workflow reviews.
- Lead initiatives across a distributed organization, effectively managing diverse stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret HR data to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources in a business partner capacity, including developing and leading core HR processes.
- 7+ years’ experience managing people/leading teams, including resource allocation, performance management, and talent development.
- Direct experience supporting diverse business functions; financial services industry experience preferred.
- Previous experience driving change within small to mid-size companies preferred.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational initiatives.
- Thorough knowledge of federal/state employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Depth of experience with HRIS platforms; ADP/UltiPro/UKG experience a plus.
- Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong technical and financial acumen.

Pay
The hiring range for this position is between $140,000.00 and $160,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
