About the Role

Trade Support is a division of The Fixed Income Middle Office. Trade Support is responsible for pre- and post-execution trade support for the TD Securities trading businesses within Global Markets. Trade Support ensures trades are reflected in the front office trading systems on an accurate and timely basis. Trade Support supports both trading and sales functions in London, Dublin, Toronto, New York, and Singapore with specific accountabilities pertaining to trade capture, position management, business reporting, and client analytics. Trade Support interacts with trading, Sales, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and institutional customers to deliver its mandate. Trade Support will also support the ongoing development, design, and adherence of the target operating model for front office processes that are required for effective trade execution, trade capture, position management, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Trade Support mandate to internal and external stakeholders during New York business hours. Develop, promote, and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Analyze, identify, and implement various process improvements and automation.
  • Perform data analysis within Excel and present findings to numerous teams including sales and trading.
  • Support the IFI trading and sales desks with trade capture of multiple products in multiple systems:
    • Main Products: Short Term Duration Products (Repo – Bilateral & Tri-party, Funding)
    • Main Systems Used: ION Anvil, Calypso Derivatives, Bloomberg TOMS, TAAPS, and FINRA TRAQS
  • Ensure all trades are captured accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the resolution of STP feed outages.
  • Monitor risk across the business to ensure adherence to policy limits.
  • Resolve ad-hoc queries relating to risk and P&L discrepancies.
  • Investigate ad-hoc trade queries by liaising with internal and external individuals to ensure timely resolution.
  • Actively manage various initiatives and ad hoc requests, including infrastructure improvements, regulatory changes, and local business initiatives.
  • Evaluate changes in regulatory requirements and business models, proactively adapting processes to maintain effective and efficient business support.
  • Engage multiple stakeholders globally to deliver cost-effective, value-added solutions.
  • Work in partnership with other teams to manage and clear audit or regulatory findings within committed timelines.
  • Keep both Functional and Regional Management informed of all relevant Trade Support activities with proper escalation of issues.
  • Provide people management leadership by recruiting top talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing performance, and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee a large team with functional diversity and complexity, ensuring operational results and professional development objectives are achieved.
  • Lead teams with multiple points of internal and external contact, including direct customer interaction.
  • Act as the highest point of team escalation for resolution and provide direction.
  • Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans to address client issues and priorities.
  • Act as a key liaison to actively engage stakeholders, clarifying client needs and delivering client-centered solutions.
  • Monitor service and control standards against business/department objectives.
  • Provide frontline feedback to client strategy and broader process improvement functions.
  • Negotiate and resolve complex and/or escalated issues.
  • Proactively identify key business opportunities and recommend system enhancements or modifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, evaluate options, and provide recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of the business plan and operationalize it.
  • Protect the interests of the organization by identifying and managing risks.
  • Coordinate implementation and testing of new processes and systems, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of end-to-end processes and regulatory requirements to drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Mitigate risk by coordinating activities with partners in Operations, Technology, Finance, and Risk Management.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank and industry codes of conduct.
  • Act as a key contributor to strategic initiatives and functional projects/programs.
  • Conceptualize and define change frameworks, contributing to strategy discussions.
  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to operations activities.
  • Lead community initiatives and promote commitment to shared enterprise values.
  • Assess performance based on team and function analytics.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in managing the overall team, coaching, and developing team capability.
  • Set performance objectives for the team, track, monitor, and address performance issues.
  • Recruit to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Fixed Income (Front Office, Middle Office, Operations).
  • Series 7 and Series 63 required.
  • B.A. degree in Economics or Finance.
  • Strong understanding of fixed income products and/or trade lifecycle management.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with Sales & Trading desks and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Undergraduate degree/college diploma preferred and/or 6+ years relevant experience and 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of key functional areas including Capital Markets, Financing Operations, Payment and Correspondent Banking Services, Business Services, Change Delivery, and Regional Operations.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products, including Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in the industry and market.
  • Knowledge of the risk management environment, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of process management to drive efficiency.

Pay

$120,000 - $170,000 USD.
