About the role
Vice President, Middle Office
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
- Make sure the quality of outsourced functions meets Service Level Descriptions (SLDs) and aligns with client expectations.
- Engage with clients, attend client meetings, and manage service delivery according to SLDs.
- Support recovery efforts for offshore functions, maintain knowledge of offshored functions, and serve as a subject matter expert in incident management.
- Drive service improvements, engage with technology, pursue new business opportunities, and train outsourced teams on new products.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Seven to ten years of total relevant work experience is preferred.
- Experience as a subject matter expert and conducting research on complex, multi-faceted transactions and escalated inquiries is required.
- Experience preparing and reviewing MIS/KRIs/KPIs, supporting reconciliations, and interacting with clients on complex transactions is essential.
- Experience leading teams and guiding less experienced staff is necessary.
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively is crucial.
- Knowledge of financial services industry practices and regulations is beneficial.
Skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with financial systems and software.
