Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the management and administration of operations functions at all North American properties, ensuring safe and effective operation of machinery and building systems.
- Lead a team of site operations directors responsible for each campus, fostering a team-oriented environment through positive feedback and accountability.
- Ensure availability and capacity targets are achieved and maintained for all data centers and technical infrastructure.
- Use performance data to evaluate and suggest cost-effective improvements to enhance service and operating efficiency.
- Hold’s teams accountable on preventive/corrective maintenance of facility equipment, critical and non-critical alike.
- Protect and improve the value of assets by ensuring that building machinery and systems meet or exceed expected life spans.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand the engineering design and operational aspects of the base building systems and can recognize system performance deficiencies and respond to operational and emergency situations.
- Organize administrative functions related to site operations, such as work orders and maintenance activities, budgets, ordering supplies, etc.
- Responsible for ALL Key Performance indicators to executive team.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly and efficiently resolving any service issues.
- Maintain elite customer service standards for all customers, ensuring compliance with all customer lease agreements.
- Drive the development and implementation of improved standards for maintenance, budgeting, and scaling efforts.
- Collaborate with peers and the COO to determine appropriate team performance goals and manage them to completion.
- Manage all integration and acquisition activities for the American markets.
- Oversee all customer experience reporting, including monthly and quarterly performance meetings and fit-outs on live sites.
- Ensure all major projects are properly planned, executed, and closed out in accordance with industry best practices.
- Build highly engaged, high-performing site operations teams by maintaining a visible presence in the field and fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Actively connect teams to the broader company mission, customer impact, and operational purpose of Vantage’s data center platforms.
- Champion talent development, succession planning, and leadership capability across site operations to support long-term growth and scalability.
- Conduct performance reviews, seek input, and provide feedback and coaching to manage individuals and the team.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in site operations or facilities management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. Proven experience in the data center industry or a related field.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of building systems and machinery, with the ability to recognize performance deficiencies and respond to operational and emergency situations. Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering and project management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in operations management software and systems. Consistent track record of excellent internal and external customer service. Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and building automation systems.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $270,000 - $280,000 (this range is based on California market data and may vary in other locations)
