About the Role
Tri Pointe Homes Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking an experienced Vice President of Community Experience to provide strategic leadership to the division sales, marketing, design studio, and closing services teams. This role focuses on optimizing customer experience, revenue, profit margin, and market share.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, evaluate, train, develop, and retain a productive and highly engaged sales, marketing, design studio, and closing services team focused on customers’ new home community experience.
- Develop a positive, teamwork-oriented, and achievement-driven work culture for staff.
- Model and reinforce actions consistent with the Company’s values, vision, and culture.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with sales, marketing, design studio, and closing services policies, internal control procedures, and practices.
- Oversee the development of sales rallies, training sessions, lead conversion coaching, classes, and seminars to enhance the skills of New Home Advisors, Specialists, Design Consultants, and other team members.
- Coordinate the sales, personalization, and closing process for assigned geography, leveraging home office and local resources (e.g., marketing, communications, merchandising, TRI Pointe Connect mortgage operations).
- Ensure achievement of established orders and delivery plan goals while providing a superior customer experience aligned with the Company’s mission, vision, values, and brand pillars.
- Work with design studio staff and purchasing to ensure correct options are offered, packaged, and priced appropriately for high customer satisfaction.
- Supervise the planning and organizing of broker previews, promotional events, and business meetings.
- Develop community marketing assets and communication materials (online and offline) with the marketing manager to build community interest and deliver qualified prospects to sales.
- Establish and monitor community marketing budgets and analyze results to optimize return on marketing investment.
- Establish a consumer-driven vision for each community and coordinate design team members to bring that vision to life in community design, model home landscaping, merchandising, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with management in land selection and product creation, bringing market insights, consumer preferences, and competitive knowledge to discussions.
- Keep senior management informed of opportunities, challenges, progress, and support needs.
- Serve as the voice of the customer across communities and functions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key brokers and consumer groups.
- Identify local market trends through collaboration with team members.
- Evaluate team execution periodically to ensure continuous improvement in consumer experience.
- Ensure New Home Advisors engage customers using the Company’s defined selling process by monitoring performance, reviewing shop videos, and role-playing.
- Review customer surveys and qualitative feedback to identify trends, preferences, and potential execution gaps.
- Collaborate with the home office marketing team on brand marketing strategy and execution of company-wide sales, design studio, closing services, and marketing initiatives.
- Lead divisional implementation and evaluation of community marketing initiatives and sales programs.
- Enhance division community marketing direction and strategy through market feedback and results analysis.
- Maintain current knowledge of local competitor policies, programs, pricing, products, consumer demographics, and economic influences.
- Oversee timely and accurate collection of key competitor data via New Home Advisors, monitor competitive products, and provide feedback to leadership.
- Prepare forecasts and relevant business analyses for assigned geography.
- Work with Division President, sales managers, marketing director, design studio manager, and divisional controller to set community and option pricing, manage homesite releases, margins, and sales pace.
- Provide required reports to division and home office management in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; focus on Sales, Marketing, General Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the home building industry in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Solid knowledge of sales, design studio, closing services, and marketing programs, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding of the homebuilding industry, including standards, practices, and processes.
- Ability to prepare, plan, and deliver clear and persuasive sales presentations and teach others to do the same.
- Ability to design and execute community marketing plans that drive qualified traffic online and to new home galleries.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to consistently set and meet goals and deadlines.
- Experience utilizing business analysis, planning, digital marketing applications, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
