Vice President - Private Capital Advisory - Secondaries
About the role
Lazard is seeking a Senior Associate to lead the day-to-day execution of complex secondary transactions, including GP-led processes such as continuation funds, strip sales, tender offers, and manage junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Drive the preparation of pitch materials and strategic advice for prospective clients
- Spearhead the preparation of detailed marketing materials, including Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), investor presentations, teasers and various other investor communications
- Orchestrates the global investor outreach process, managing competitive tension among secondary funds, sovereign wealth funds, and pension funds to optimize pricing and terms for the client
- Manage technical due diligence workstreams, synthesizing complex investor requests for GP management teams and ensuring high-velocity execution across multiple live transactions
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with General Partners and institutional investors, serving as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Communicate regularly with Lazard's institutional investor coverage professionals and across Lazard M&A and financial sponsor coverage teams
Requirements
- At least 5-7 years of investment banking, secondary advisory, investing or other relevant experience; prior experience with GP-led transactions is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading deal execution and managing junior team members
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical and presentation skills
- Top academic performance with comfort operating in a fast-paced environment that values initiative, creativity, and maturity
Qualifications
- Proactive self-starter mentality with the ability to operate with minimal supervision while working collaboratively within a team
Skills
- Strong background in private equity transactions, fund advisory, or secondaries

Pay
The base salary range for this role is approximately $250,000 - $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role.
