Vice President - Private Capital Advisory - Real Assets

The Private Capital Advisory Group (PCA) at Lazard is a global leader in raising private capital and executing secondary transactions for investment managers. The Real Asset Fund Placement team within PCA advises primarily real estate and infrastructure funds seeking to raise private capital, working with equity- and debt-focused managers across various investment vehicles, including closed- and open-end funds, private REITs, and programmatic joint ventures.
As a Vice President in the Real Asset business, you will focus on transaction management as part of a deal team typically comprising 3-4 PCA professionals. This role involves collaborating with Associates and Analysts during all phases of a transaction, from preparation to marketing and due diligence.
Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with clients and Lazard's institutional investor coverage professionals.
- Prepare marketing materials, including investor presentation materials, private placement memoranda, and financial models.
- Manage the details of roadshows, travel, and related logistics for capital-raising activities.
- Prepare responses to investor due diligence requests.
- Maintain a database of investor commentary, feedback, and interest in a particular fund.
- Prepare presentation materials for prospective clients.
- Analyze client investment performance information and assist in the group's due diligence investigations of prospective clients.
- Track market data to assist the group’s communications with fund managers and investors.
- Provide guidance and supervision to Associates and Analysts.
Requirements
- At least six years of relevant full-time work experience (placement agent or internal investor relations experience is strongly preferred).
- An organized and confident communication style, both internally and externally, with the ability to manage senior client interactions.
- A demonstrated team player attitude and leadership qualities, with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture.
- Strong ability to multi-task, balancing multiple deals across the Real Assets vertical.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- High level of responsiveness, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a high-quality work product.
- Top academic performance with comfort operating in an unstructured environment that values initiative, creativity, and maturity.
- Ability to support, manage, and empower junior bankers.
- Real Estate or Infrastructure experience is preferred but not necessary.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is approximately $250,000 - $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, education, certifications, and relevant skills.
