About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, strategy-driven leader with a track record of building high-functioning teams. The Vice President of Operational Excellence will execute the brand strategy to drive unit growth, profitability, and an excellent customer experience. This role is instrumental in leading operational processes, labor standards, training, customer service, project management, loss prevention, and local fleet growth.

The VP will develop and execute end-to-end, go-to-market strategies, including preparation, launch, and continuous improvement. A strong aptitude for analyzing data to assess and improve business processes, execution, and efficiency is essential. This role drives change by leading short- and long-term strategies while empowering teams to achieve operational excellence and store-level profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Control, design, and optimize resources to support the efficient growth of 700+ corporately owned Take 5 Oil Change shops.
  • Collaborate with field teams and third-party vendors to understand labor impacts at the shop level.
  • Design, implement, and evolve the in-shop labor model to maximize productivity, sales growth, and expense control.
  • Work closely with Operations Field Leaders and Finance partners to drive compliance with labor and expense management programs.
  • Engage in process and efficiency improvements across the operations system.
  • Support Operations process design and process change through data analytics.
  • Control cost of goods and expense management within the corporate shop system, including leadership of the Director of Loss Prevention and their team to mitigate cash, inventory, and other losses.
  • Lead Claims Management teams to improve processes, use data to identify root causes, and reduce customer claims through tools, equipment, processes, and training.
  • Develop highly engaged operators, leaders, and instructors to grow average unit volume and profitability.
  • Consult with and advise field leaders to standardize best practices and improve customer experience to drive sales and profitability.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and systems to protect the brand and communicate effectively with stores and business partners.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase profitability through operational efficiencies, tools, and resources.
  • Seek and provide feedback to leaders, peers, reports, and business partners.
  • Collaborate with functional areas across the company to improve end-to-end processes and customer and employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of operations and training experience in a fast-paced company, with deep knowledge of operational processes, project management, and learning and development.
  • Demonstrated history of success in leading operational excellence, training, project management, customer experience, and loss prevention.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing operational strategies for a growth organization, including new business processes, learning and development, performance consulting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in a high-growth brand is a plus.
  • Proven ability to create positive, efficient teams through mentorship, coaching, and feedback.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to articulate and execute a vision from inception to measured results.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization, including C-Suite, vendors, field teams, and cross-functional partners.

Pay

Compensation Range: $213,900.00 - $381,900.00 annually. Base pay may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
