About the role

HRM Resources IV, LLC (HRM) is an oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. As a respected industry leader, HRM focuses on responsible development of energy resources. We're seeking an experienced Vice President of Drilling & Completions to lead technical operations for a growing independent energy company. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives with autonomy and wants to help build something meaningful alongside a tight-knit team of professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Direct all drilling and completions operations from planning through execution
  • Own AFEs, well design, and manage expenditures against approved budgets
  • Manage service company relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Build and mentor a drilling and completions team as the company scales
  • Partner directly with executive leadership on capital allocation and development strategy
  • Present operational updates, capital performance, and development plans to management, and private equity sponsors as needed
  • Ensure HSE compliance and regulatory adherence across all operations

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of drilling and completions experience, with a track record in operated wells
  • Prior VP, Director, or senior manager-level experience at an independent E&P
  • Experience developing unconventional shale plays, Arkoma Basin experience preferred
  • A self-starter who takes ownership without needing heavy oversight
  • Strong technical judgment balanced with commercial and economic thinking
  • Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving organization where everyone wears multiple hats
  • Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

What We Offer

  • A genuine seat at the table — not just a title
  • Direct influence over strategy and development decisions
  • Competitive compensation and equity/incentive structure
  • The chance to build a program from the ground up with a team that trusts each other

If you're an independent operator who wants ownership over your work and the opportunity to shape a growing company's drilling program, we'd like to hear from you.
