About the Role

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading sales advancement across various management companies, national and regional brands. This position provides guidance, leadership, and management to all Sales leadership in partnership with management companies to execute the established sales system, achieving desired occupancy and net revenue outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders including operations, sales, and marketing to uphold sales quality standards, optimize revenue, and ensure adherence to the sales system. This position reports to the SVP of Enterprise Sales and indirectly leads all sales leadership within the assigned management company.

This position is open to candidates across the United States, with a strong preference for those based in a central U.S. location (e.g., Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, or similar hub cities).

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Tactics
    • Collaborate with the SVP of Sales to develop, design, and execute sales strategies for the enterprise, including pricing, sales incentives, competitive analysis, market positioning, pay-for-performance compensation planning, and innovation in the senior housing industry.
    • Work with the Business Intelligence team to continuously improve sales optimization programs and increase sales revenue.
    • Utilize metrics and results to identify sales opportunities and develop solutions to enhance performance.
  • Sales Leadership
    • Lead management company leadership in sales system interaction, enablement, and engagement.
    • Engage with Capital Partner leaders to build confidence in delivering results through monthly presentations, sales information requests, and relationship-building communications.
    • Contribute to the sales areas of the Learning and Development department.
  • Marketing Partnership and Collaboration
    • Maintain alignment between marketing and sales campaigns and promotions.
    • Collaborate daily with the VP of Marketing to maximize lead generation and conversion.
    • Create specific community positioning for each lifestyle option to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Sales Optimization and Assimilation Engagement
    • Contribute to selecting communities for the Business Optimization Group.
    • Review results regularly and provide direction for optimal outcomes.
    • Connect with Business Optimization and Assimilation leadership to ensure smooth transitions into the established management structure.
  • New Product Sales Support
    • Present sales subject matter expertise for the expansion of new products, including the Choreograph brand.
    • Participate in teams to create new products and represent the voice of sales during development.
  • Operations Partnership and Collaboration
    • Partner with operations leaders in planning and executing sales and operations programs.
    • Present compelling cases for capital expenditures that drive ROI, rate increases, and occupancy gains.

Requirements

  • Educational Requirements and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; Master’s in Business Administration preferred.
    • 5–7 years of sales leadership experience.
    • 5–7 years of Senior Living sales experience.
    • Project management experience desired.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Language Ability: Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally at all organizational levels, including reading and interpreting procedural manuals, writing reports, and corresponding professionally.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, compute ratios, percentages, and comparisons to evaluate data.
    • Cognitive Demands: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel; ability to use the Internet for research. Ability to learn and effectively use CRM software, contact center software, and learning management systems.

Work Environment

This role works primarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting. Travel up to 35% of the time may be required to successfully complete essential duties and responsibilities. Possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual.
