Intrepid Credit Union is seeking a Vice President of Retail Services to lead its branch network and call center while helping shape the member experience across the organization. The OpportunityThis is an opportunity for a relationship-driven leader who understands that strong member relationships and strong employee relationships go hand in hand. This role will lead retail sales and service, consumer lending, branch and call center operations, as well as the responsibility to build and develop a high-performing team. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Retail Services will provide leadership across the retail network, with responsibility for member experience, sales and service, staff development, operational performance, and regulatory compliance. The role oversees three direct reports and approximately 26 employees. What You’ll LeadMember Experience & Sales: Build a relationship-based sales and service culture that deepens member relationships and supports growth.People & Leadership: Coach, develop, and hold teams accountable while creating an environment where employees can grow and succeed.Retail Operations: Oversee branch and call center operations, ensuring consistent service, strong controls, and effective execution.Consumer Lending: Provide leadership around consumer lending products, processes, and member needs.Compliance & Risk: Maintain operational discipline and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.Community Presence: Represent Intrepid in the community and build relationships that strengthen the credit union’s visibility and connection to its markets. What You BringProgressive Leadership Experience: 5+ years of banking experience, including progressive branch banking or retail operations leadership.Sales & Business Development: Experience building a sales and service culture and developing relationships that support organizational growth.Consumer Lending: Leadership experience with consumer lending products, processes, and operations.People Development: A demonstrated ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold employees accountable.Operational & Regulatory Discipline: Knowledge of branch operations, policies, procedures, and applicable banking and consumer protection regulations.Relationship Skills: Strong communication, influence, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills across employees, leadership, members, and community partners.Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or recognized industry certifications considered equivalent. Credit union experience is preferred.
