Vice President of Operations, Physicians Enterprise

About the Role

The Vice President of Operations, Physician Enterprise, will provide enterprise-wide operational leadership across the Physician Enterprise, overseeing multi-site ambulatory operations and ensuring consistent execution of the organizational operating model.

Reporting to the SVP of Physician Enterprise, the Vice President will serve as the primary execution partner to the SVP, translating strategic priorities into operational plans, performance expectations, and measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

• Driving standardization across clinics and regions to reduce operational variation and improve access, patient flow, quality, and patient experience outcomes.
• Establishing and maintaining a disciplined operating cadence supported by performance dashboards, accountability structures, and timely issue escalation and resolution.
• Leading initiatives to improve financial and operational performance, including productivity optimization, cost-to-serve reduction, and minimization of avoidable rework and denials.
• Overseeing execution of enterprise growth and transformation initiatives, including provider onboarding, practice integrations, expansions, and workflow or EHR changes.
• Partnering closely with physician leaders, clinical teams, and enabling services to ensure alignment, collaboration, and effective execution of system-wide priorities.
• Developing and strengthening System Operations Directors and practice management leaders to build long-term leadership capacity and operational excellence across the enterprise.
• Providing executive-level communication, synthesis, and decision support, ensuring timely escalation of risks, barriers, and performance gaps to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate is a highly strategic and execution-focused healthcare operations executive with deep experience leading large, multi-site ambulatory or physician enterprise systems. They are skilled in driving standardization, accountability, and performance improvement across complex, distributed environments. This leader is data-driven, highly influential, and comfortable operating as a senior delegate to executive leadership. They excel at building operating discipline, leading large-scale transformation, and aligning physicians, administrators, and cross-functional stakeholders around shared performance goals.

Requirements

• Master’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive healthcare leadership, specifically multi-site, experience is required.
• Acquisition experience is strongly preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $230,000 annually. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. Additional benefits may include health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses.
