Vice President of National Accounts
Position Summary
The Vice President, National Accounts is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving client retention, growth, and enterprise-level account strategy across Medlogix’s national customer portfolio. This executive will serve as the senior relationship leader for key accounts, cultivating strong partnerships with executive stakeholders while ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and long-term revenue growth. The VP of National Accounts collaborates closely with Operations, Sales, Product Development, and Executive Leadership to identify opportunities for expansion, improve client outcomes, enhance customer satisfaction, and support Medlogix’s strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will possess extensive industry knowledge, executive presence, and a proven ability to manage high-value relationships within the workers' compensation, auto casualty, medical claims management, independent medical examination (IME), and peer review industries.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the executive sponsor and primary strategic relationship leader for assigned national and enterprise-level accounts.
- Develop and execute account strategies focused on client retention, revenue growth, and long-term partnership development.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with customers, brokers, TPAs, carriers, self-insured employers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Partner with Operations leadership to ensure contract compliance, service excellence, and achievement of performance guarantees and client objectives.
- Lead executive business reviews, strategic planning meetings, and performance discussions with clients and key Medlogix stakeholders.
- Identify emerging client needs, industry trends, and opportunities to expand Medlogix products and services.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Sales leadership to drive account growth, cross-selling, and upselling initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance and market intelligence to support organizational growth initiatives and product development.
- Act as an executive escalation point for complex client issues and coordinate resolution across internal departments.
- Monitor client satisfaction metrics and implement action plans to strengthen customer engagement and retention.
- Represent Medlogix at industry conferences, trade shows, association meetings, and networking events.
- Maintain accurate client activity, growth opportunities, and strategic account plans within the CRM system.
- Drive strategic onboarding and implementation efforts for new national accounts and significant client expansions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Account Management teams and support the development of best practices in client relationship management.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership to establish annual account growth objectives and business development strategies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Achieve high visibility within key accounts through executive meetings, presentations, industry events, and relationship-building activities.
- Develop and foster strategic partnerships with industry leaders and influencers.
- Lead cross-functional communication efforts to ensure exceptional client service and operational alignment.
- Analyze account performance data, referral trends, and market opportunities to drive business decisions.
- Present performance metrics, outcomes, and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Medlogix products, services, technology platforms, and industry regulations.
- Stay informed of market trends, competitive developments, evolving customer needs, and regulatory changes impacting the industry.
- Support strategic planning and annual revenue forecasting initiatives.
- Participate in mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other business development opportunities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in account management, client services, business development, or strategic relationship management.
- Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience managing national or enterprise accounts.
- Extensive experience within Workers' Compensation, Auto Casualty, Medical Claims Management, Independent Medical Examination (IME), Peer Review, Managed Care, or related healthcare services.
- Proven success growing revenue within existing client relationships and managing large, complex customer portfolios.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms and account management technologies.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and business development activities.
