Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group in Scottsdale, AZ, as a Vice President of Mortgage Technology. This position is hybrid working out of the Scottsdale Operations Center. Job Details Position Summary: The Vice President, Mortgage Technology is the senior technology leader responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision, technology roadmap, governance, and modernization of the organization's mortgage technology ecosystem.This role serves as the executive technology partner to Mortgage leadership and works closely with Enterprise IT, Operations, Production, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and external technology partners to ensure technology investments directly support business growth, scalability, profitability, operational efficiency, regulatory requirements, and an exceptional customer experience.The VP will establish a forward-looking mortgage technology strategy while maintaining strong operational oversight of critical platforms, including the Loan Origination System, CRM, data, reporting, workflow, and integration environments. The role will lead the modernization of the mortgage technology architecture through automation, artificial intelligence, digital mortgage capabilities, data and analytics, system integration, and process transformation. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a multi-year mortgage technology strategy and roadmap aligned with corporate growth objectives, mortgage strategy, and enterprise technology direction. • Partner with executive leadership to establish technology priorities, investment strategies, and initiatives that deliver measurable business value. • Develop and maintain a strategic technology portfolio that balances innovation, operational stability, risk, cost, and business growth. • Evaluate emerging technologies and establish a roadmap for AI, automation, digital mortgage, cloud, data, analytics, and next-generation mortgage platforms. • Serve as the executive technology advisor to mortgage leadership and provide recommendations on technology investments, architecture, risks, and opportunities. • Establish technology governance, standards, architecture principles, and decision-making frameworks for the mortgage organization. • Develop and communicate a clear technology vision that enables the organization to scale and remain competitive in a rapidly changing mortgage environment. • Provide executive oversight of the mortgage technology ecosystem, including LOS, CRM, workflow, document management, data, reporting, and third-party applications. • Establish strategic direction and governance for Encompass and other core mortgage technology platforms. • Ensure the mortgage technology architecture is scalable, integrated, secure, resilient, and capable of supporting future business requirements. • Lead technology modernization initiatives and rationalize systems where appropriate to reduce complexity, duplication, technical debt, and cost. • Oversee system integrations, APIs, data architecture, interfaces, and third-party connectivity. • Establish enterprise standards for system configuration, development, testing, release management, change management, and technology lifecycle management. • Ensure technology platforms continuously evolve to support new mortgage products, channels, business models, and regulatory requirements. • Provide strategic oversight of the administration, performance, availability, maintenance, and enhancement of critical mortgage technology systems. • Establish service-level expectations, performance metrics, operational controls, and governance processes for mortgage technology. • Ensure effective incident, problem, change, release, and vendor management practices are in place. • Develop technology performance dashboards and executive reporting to provide visibility into system health, risks, investments, and business impact. • Maintain a disciplined approach to technology lifecycle management, including platform upgrades, migrations, integrations, and decommissioning. • Establish a strategic vision for mortgage data, analytics, and business intelligence. • Oversee mortgage data warehouse and analytics initiatives, including technologies such as Snowflake, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and related platforms. • Establish data governance standards that support accuracy, accessibility, security, integrity, and executive decision-making. • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation across the mortgage lifecycle. • Develop a roadmap for using technology and data to improve productivity, risk management, profitability, borrower experience, and operational decision-making. • Establish strategic relationships with key mortgage technology vendors, implementation partners, lending partners, and technology service providers. • Lead strategic vendor selection, negotiations, contract management, service-level agreements, and performance management. • Evaluate vendor capabilities and technology roadmaps to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic direction. • Establish a proactive vendor governance framework addressing performance, security, cost, risk, innovation, and business continuity. • Build strategic partnerships that provide access to emerging capabilities and industry best practices. • Lead and develop high-performing mortgage technology teams and external technology resources. • Establish an organizational structure and talent strategy capable of supporting current and future technology needs. • Develop technology leadership capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and professional development. • Build strong relationships with executive leadership and business stakeholders and serve as a trusted strategic advisor. • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, operational excellence, security, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Job Requirements Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or related field • Master's degree or MBA preferred. • 10+ years of progressive mortgage technology or financial services technology experience. • 7+ years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility for technology strategy, systems, architecture, or transformation. • Demonstrated experience developing and executing technology strategies and multi-year roadmaps. • Proven experience leading major mortgage technology implementations, integrations, modernization programs, and transformation initiatives. • Advanced Encompass administration, configuration, and integration experience strongly preferred. • Experience managing significant technology budgets, vendors, third-party resources, and strategic technology investments.
