Vice President of International Marketing
Educa Worldwide, a leader in full-service, direct response advertising serving the adult post-secondary education market, is seeking a Vice President of International Marketing to oversee worldwide client accounts.
About the role
The Vice President of International Marketing is responsible for overseeing international operations that include agency services, technology, product development, market research, and facilitating communication with agency partners. This position will report directly to the agency’s president and work closely with management to ensure client reporting and effective account management is furnished to Latin American clients. The role involves significant international travel and relocation.
Responsibilities
- Maximize company’s international market share and profits.
- Keep abreast of global market trends in for-profit and non-profit adult education.
- Develop products that meet international demands.
- Travel to different countries with a valid US Passport and the ability to secure international visas to perform extensive consumer research.
- Establish competitive pricing strategies.
- Reside in countries in which the agency does business for several months and assimilate into different cultures.
- Communicate with a variety of marketing and business professionals within Latin American markets.
- Communicate in more than one language, as needed.
- Prepare international marketing plans and policies, coordinating with local marketing partners, US-based agency partners, and the US-based VP of Client Operations.
- Perform detailed strategic, pricing, and financial analyses.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Plan marketing and branding objectives.
- Expand product solutions and offerings and assist the US-technology team in enhancing the inquiry management system to meet domestic and international objectives.
- Prepare marketing strategies alongside other company executives and staff in Latin America and the US.
- Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.
- Prepare and adhere to budgets developed in foreign currencies.
- Work with creative teams in both the US and Latin America to ensure direct-response focused print ads, publications, radio, television, and online advertising.
- Ensure brand messages are consistent for both the agency’s clients and the agency itself.
- Gather and analyze customer insight.
- Nurture and enrich all external perceptions of the company and growth of market share.
- Deepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organization.
- Assist in overseeing enterprise-level, multi-national call center operations for both domestic and Latin American markets, and the integration of agency technology to produce industry-leading tracking and inquiry management.
- Take calculated risks based on data-driven analytics.
- Understand and adjust international CRM solutions to meet US demands and expertise in inquiry nurturing and drip marketing.
- Coordinate and assist in fulfilling business partners’ requests and requirements, including quarterly forecast reports, marketing plans, and other business requirements.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and prioritize critical programs and elements necessary to achieve sales and marketing objectives consistently.
- Experience in tradeshow and convention management, logistics, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration. A degree in geo-political affairs, international business, or marketing is highly desirable.
- High-level training in computer technology, lead management systems, customer relationship management, and direct response advertising across all media platforms is an advantage.
- 15+ years in direct response advertising, branding, and marketing, with a majority of those years serving the adult, post-secondary education market within the United States or abroad.
- Direct client relationship skills and the ability to represent all agency offerings with a capacity to sell or up-service clients seeking additional technology and support.
- Physically fit for travel and agree to undergo precautionary healthcare steps consistent with world travel.
- Exceptional management, organizational, and communication skills.
