About the role
The Vice President of Instruction (VPI) provides visionary and conscientious academic leadership to advance the college's mission and institutional goals in the area of instruction. The VPI will provide innovative and collaborative management and administration of student learning within all instructional divisions and departments at the college to meet our diverse student population and community.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, coordinate, and assess instructional programs to ensure the educational needs of students and the community are satisfied.
- Administer instructional policies and procedures for all College academic and workforce education programs.
- Develop and administer instructional policies and procedures for all College academic and workforce education programs.
- Collaborate with the president's executive leadership team in support of the College's vision, mission, and strategic direction.
- Provide leadership, advocacy, and oversight across all instructional areas which include the Deans, Assistant Deans, and Directors in the following areas: Arts and Sciences, Transitional Studies, High School Programs, Workforce Transfer and Trades, Corrections Education, Nursing and Allied Health, Academic Success Center, Continuing and Community Education, Center for Teaching and Learning, Library, and the Water and Environmental Center.
Requirements
Preferred qualifications include:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education or a related field.
- Experience in developing and implementing instructional policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
