Vice President of Hospice Services

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate hospice care to patients and their families, aligning with clinical best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor patient care plans, quality metrics, and clinical outcomes.
• Oversee the clinical staff, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides, ensuring proper training and competency.
• Manage day-to-day hospice operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee budget management, financial reporting, and cost control within the hospice program.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand hospice services within the community.
• Build relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations.
• Lead marketing and outreach initiatives to promote hospice services.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hospice care.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
• Oversee quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the hospice team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Evaluate staff performance and identify training needs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in hospice care, including clinical leadership roles.
• Prominent track record of successful operational management and business development in a healthcare setting.
• Deep understanding of hospice regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• Master's degree in nursing (MSN), healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Registered Nurse license.
