About the role

The Vice President of Food and Nutrition Security oversees the strategic direction and implementation of food security initiatives across the organization. This includes managing partnerships with local food banks, coordinating community outreach programs, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and execution of food security strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage partnerships with local food banks and other community organizations to enhance food access.
• Coordinate community outreach programs to educate stakeholders about food security issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, non-profits, and corporate partners.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in food and nutrition security management.
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, nutrition, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale food security initiatives.
• Experience in grant writing and securing funding for food security projects.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
