About the role
The Vice President of Business Development/Sales is responsible for establishing sales targets to meet company objectives and developing strategic sales plans that promote sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the sales strategy for the region, including short- and long-term performance goals.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market, identifying key prospects and determining customer needs.
- Monitor the competitive landscape to determine trends in the region.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored service solutions for individual clients.
- Develop and deliver client presentations in a collaborative/team selling environment.
- Track and analyze results, including sales volume, pipeline, expenses, and areas of opportunity within the region.
- Monitor performance against plan; troubleshoot as needed.
- Identify new approaches based on data analysis.
- Maintain contact with key clients post-sale to identify new opportunities and solidify relationships.
Requirements
- Proven track record in sales or business development within the contract Environmental Services (EVS) industry, including securing high-value service agreements in healthcare or highly regulated multi-site environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid management skills and business acumen with experience developing sales plans, forecasts, and budgets.
- Outstanding personal track record for closing business at the C-level.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a consultative sales environment within the healthcare industry; C-suite experience required.
- Experience in an outsourced, managed services environment preferred.
- Strong service/quality attitude and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Windows-based office software.
- Ability to travel extensively (60%) throughout the region.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000, depending on skills, qualifications, degrees, certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission.
