Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with VP of MedTech Supply Chain Digital to establish, organize, and govern prioritized MedTech Supply Chain transformations.
  • Oversee the successful execution of all transformation initiatives within MedTech Supply Chain Digital’s portfolio.
  • Manage and refine the strategy, structure, and governance for in-flight transformations.
  • Drive top-down ideation for each transformation and enable business case development reflecting the breadth of each transformation’s activities.
  • Work with Strategic Planning and Program Operations to plan the rollout of upcoming MedTech Supply Chain Digital projects.
  • Develop and execute a consistent deployment framework across programs.
  • Structure and manage matrixed initiative teams and transformation management support functions within the larger organization to help successfully deploy the transformation.
  • Work with Strategic Planning and Program Operations to oversee the development, execution, and implementation of a roadmap for each transformation project (both for SAP S/4HANA projects and non-S/4 projects) throughout MedTech Supply Chain.
  • Align with MedTech Supply Chain leaders on priorities, assess critical dependencies for the program, and oversee ongoing roadmap enhancements as necessary for the project.
  • Support the proactive resolution and mitigation of escalated risks.
  • Engage with business units across the organization and MedTech Supply Chain leaders to understand availability of resources.
  • Direct the strategy for allocating resources across each project, accounting for the needs of different business units and using guidelines set by the Strategic Planning and Program Operations area.
  • Deliver against budget requirements, resource prioritization frameworks, and resource availability set forth in the resource allocation strategy.
  • Set a strategy for program resourcing that includes a creative and cost-efficient mix of resources from MedTech Supply Chain Digital, business units, and external vendor partners.
  • Engage with vendor partners and manage vendor performance as they support ongoing transformations.
  • Manage deployment needs and set high-level rules of engagement for vendors with internal supporting functions.
  • Lead the identification of cost-efficient practices to manage vendors across multiple transformation projects.
  • Build relationships with transformation leaders outside of Johnson & Johnson to maintain industry best practices in design and execution of projects.
  • Direct the management and allocation of budget across all SAP S/4HANA and non-S/4 projects within MedTech Supply Chain Digital, assuring cost effectiveness and control are both deployed correctly.
  • Forecast budget needs for each quarter and fiscal year based on initiative priorities, programmatic needs, and existing resources.
  • Work with Strategic Planning and Program Operations to understand MedTech Supply Chain Digital’s budget forecast and build out the feasibility of upcoming projects.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of supply chain, data, and digital tools to engage with product teams to understand product aspirations, timeline expectations, and customer needs.
  • Continuously assess the set of offerings and explore opportunities to align it to market-leading practice.
  • Drive the program to enable automation and efficiency resulting from technology wherever possible.
  • Review ongoing projects’ progress against roadmaps to determine MedTech Supply Chain Digital’s readiness to deliver on prioritized initiatives.
  • Work with Value and Vendor Management team to oversee cost-saving initiatives and value creation opportunities using data and analytics.
  • Develop criteria for communicating expected value of initiatives to leadership across all MedTech Supply Chain Digital transformation projects.
  • Lead the design and operation of projects with a customer-first approach, considering the voice of MedTech Supply Chain Digital’s customers.
  • Within projects, adapt specific deployments to the needs of different groups within MedTech Supply Chain.
  • Consider the needs of the business’s end user customer base and develop products that improve our delivery of their customer experience.
  • Establish & maintain a globally inclusive, diverse, and equitable work environment for the MedTech Supply Chain Digital organization, and inspire, motivate, and empower talent to, as well.
  • Recruit, develop, and empower talent in support of maintaining the MedTech Supply Chain Digital organization’s position as a career destination of choice.
  • Support the professional growth of direct reports by proactively helping them to identify development opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop indirect team members and ensure the success of all cross-disciplinary teams supporting projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • An advanced degree, such as an MBA, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in SAP transformation leadership roles within Supply Chain or Commercial organizations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of complex global leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with people management/direct report experience is required.

  • Experience leading strategic business decision-making through data and analytics.
  • Foundational understanding of emerging MedTech, supply chain, data, and digital trends in the marketplace.

  • Strategic leadership and experience building new/enhancing existing capabilities.
  • Excellent at building strong relationships with peers and with other stakeholders to influence others and move toward a common vision.
  • Demonstrated hands-on project management/change management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams, franchises, business sectors, and disciplines.
  • Able to work effectively and drive alignment in a global environment through strong communication and empowerment, in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience leading complex transformation programs.
  • Experience in resource management in accordance with project design and needs.
  • Strong knowledge of MedTech Devices, Supply Chain or Commercial Operations.
  • Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, product management, data competencies).
  • Strong customer focus (internal & external) and experience managing professionals from multiple disciplines.

This position will require up to 25% travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $199,000.00 - $366,850.00. Additional Description For Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
