Wells Fargo is seeking a Macro Trading Business Manager (VP level role) within the Chief Operating Office (COO) team supporting the Macro line of business (Rates, FX, Repo, and Structured Notes). The COO delivers platforms, processes, and systems across disciplines including business management, business solutions & enablement, client lifecycle management, data management, strategy & transformation, and innovation.

About the role

Partner with the Macro Trading desk leaders to support their strategic priorities. Engage and influence business management for a large, complex business with cross-organization initiatives and strategy. Identify and recommend opportunities for large-scale business initiatives, including development and execution of strategy, budgeting and forecasting, infrastructure planning, and broad compliance and operational risk efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions to ensure the businesses remain compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Ensure appropriate remediation of critical issues.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on risk reviews and audits.
  • Foster a culture of excellence with focus on clients, precision, and collaboration; help train, mentor, coach, and develop junior talent.
  • Review and analyze complex business, operational, or technical challenges; recommend and drive change.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and management to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Build strong working relationships with CIB product partners.
  • Ensure compliance with FINRA and other relevant regulatory rules; guide the team to improve processes to meet evolving market practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of interest rates experience or other equivalent capital markets experience.
  • Prior experience with Rates or FX trading.
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Experience working with third-party data from vendors like Coalition, Expand, etc.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proven ability to create effective relationships with internal partners across various lines of business.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel with comfort creating business-ready content.
  • Self-motivated to perform at a high level.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment.
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements; candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.

Pay

$143,000.00 - $224,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
