About the role

Visa is searching for a Vice President of Latin America and Caribbean (LAC).

Responsibilities

  • Assume accountability for the Marketing Services P&L in region
  • Lead and oversee the development of the strategy and plan to achieve the ambitious growth targets
  • Oversee the financial management, pipeline management, annual planning, and reporting
  • Set pricing and margin targets by project type
  • Identify and build new capabilities and services in partnership with global teams and core marketing
  • Lead and manage operations and processes including best practice sharing, capabilities, and enhancements across regions
  • Partner with Sales executives to sell Marketing Services to clients across region and markets
  • Develop a path to driving an embedded model with top strategic clients across regions where there is repeatable and committed revenue/engagement each year
  • Partner with other Visa functions to develop a ONEVISA strategic operating model to help better serve our clients and maximize revenue for Visa.
  • Lead large RFP response efforts including the response, pitch work, and ideation showcasing Visa as the most competitive and strategic option for our clients
  • Support ongoing operations across key cross-functional and cross-geography touchpoints, including recurring meetings with regional Client Marketing leads, sales, and finance
  • Develop clear and concise executive level communications to report the progress and financials of marketing services globally
  • Lead large RFP response efforts including the response, pitch work, and ideation showcasing Visa as the most competitive and strategic option for our clients
  • Manage the annually planning cycle through a strategic bottoms-up approach
  • Continue to build a world-class team by recruiting, training, and developing new talent and further scale the operating model behind business development and execution across all client segments

Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications: 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Preferred Qualifications: 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
  • 15 or more years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with expertise in global/multi-region marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field desired; MBA preferred
  • Proven track record developing and executing high-impact, insight-driven, integrated marketing strategies that drive step-change business results
  • Independent, self-starter with a proven record of driving complex strategies across large teams
  • Strong relationship building experience along with the ability to collaborate and work across regions and various business units
  • Deep influencing skills across a matrixed environment
  • Superior analytic and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytic rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze financial models
  • Able to identify issues, conduct analyses, synthesize findings, and make recommendations
  • Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior level executives; excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and written communication
  • Establishes a goal-oriented culture and continually raises the bar for organizational achievement.
  • Executes decisions with the goals and vision of the company in mind; acts as a representative of the company brand both internally and externally
  • Client marketing, consulting, sales, or other client-facing experience required
  • Prior experience identifying, scoping, pitching, and advising Clients on data-driven marketing strategies preferred; in-market or in-region experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of the payments marketing landscape and working knowledge of payment product economics preferred
  • Comfortable operating in ‘white space’ proactively pursuing innovative ideas/capabilities; building out a “playbook” approach enabling scalable/ repeatable solutions
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to partner with all divisions of Finance
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills; team player
  • Proven leader with a track record of building and developing diverse, top performing, and highly engaged teams
  • A leader who prioritizes nurturing talent, providing a lot of active feedback, acknowledging work, and helping people grow in their craft and careers
  • Fluency in Spanish is required; Portuguese is preferred

Qualifications

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $219,400.00 to $ 384,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).
  • This position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
