About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President Global Program Lead Franchise Lead - Neurology to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track. The position offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the end-to-end disease strategy in partnership with various functions
  • Accelerate portfolio progress and optimize revenues for marketed products
  • Lead R&D business development activities for the Neurology portfolio
  • Manage disease portfolio budget and make strategic tradeoff decisions
  • Inspire and lead Global Program Leads across the Disease Area
  • Oversee program designs and execution from candidate nomination to commercialization
  • Communicate risks and updates to senior leaders effectively

Qualifications

  • MD, PhD, DVM, PharmD, or equivalent advanced degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in drug development and leadership in academic or industry settings
  • Expertise in drug development processes, especially in late stages
  • Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing matrix teams
  • Deep understanding of biology, pharmaceutical optimization, and clinical pharmacology
  • Ability to create global strategies for competing in the healthcare industry
  • Strong business acumen and experience in presenting complex programs to senior leaders

Compensation

$341,360 – $413,648 annually
