What You’ll Do

Reporting to the CFO, you'll own worldwide accounting for a dynamic, multifaceted business - multi-entity and multi-geography, spanning real estate, software, marketplace platforms, and emerging hardware, with active M&A and a meaningful balance sheet. We are looking for a builder: you'll lead the transformation of the accounting function as we scale — strengthening controls, re-architecting how data flows, rationalizing the legal-entity structure, owning technical accounting and the external audit, and building toward eventual IPO/SOX readiness.

Lead the global accounting organization, including regional controllers and accounting leaders across multiple entities and geographies.

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Drive accounting transformation initiatives, systems improvements, process automation, and organizational design enhancements.
  • Lead complex financial cleanup and remediation efforts, building scalable infrastructure in an evolving, high-growth environment.
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, governance frameworks, and financial reporting processes.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and operational leaders across the company.
  • Support audit readiness, technical accounting matters, and long-term IPO preparedness initiatives.
  • Evaluate and optimize processes, technology, and team structures to increase efficiency, leverage, and business partnership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team on accounting, controllership, and finance transformation priorities.

What We’re Looking For

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
  • CPA, with roots in Big Four public accounting required.
  • Experience leading large, global, multi-entity accounting organizations.
  • Proven success scaling high-growth businesses and navigating complexity.
  • Experience with IPO readiness, public company environments, SOX, or large transformation efforts is desirable.
  • Strong systems orientation with a track record of driving automation and process improvements.
  • Able to balance immediate execution against long-term strategic outcomes.
  • High sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Operated at a high-rigor public company and "knows what good looks like" — energized by building just that.
