About the role
The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Full-Stack Engineer II to consult with internal business groups, providing application software development services or technical support in complex situations. You will be responsible for the technical aspects of business requirements, participate in BRD/SRD preparation, and ensure thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
You will coordinate the technical design, development, and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, analyze and define requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes, and ensure expected application performance levels through coding, testing, implementation, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Program well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
- Maintain software functionality and address technical debt.
- Actively participate in code reviews and apply security and privacy principles.
- Execute full lifecycle software development, including developing software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring software is updated with the latest features.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
- Leverage existing products/functionality and promote reuse.
- Collaborate with other engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
- Work alongside data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
- Compile documentation of procedures used in the system.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation in the financial services industry.
Skills
- Developing reusable components, services, and modules that interact end-to-end with backend systems via REST APIs adhering to design standards using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular Material, and RxJS.
- Building applications that expose components as Module Federated Micro Frontends, allowing them to be consumed directly in Web platforms using Webpack and Angular Framework.
- Handling design using SOA/OSB/BPM/BRE, configuring OSB services using SOA/BPEL/Mediators, designing systems with Oracle SOA suite, and integrating BPM workflows with Identity Access Management (Oracle IAM).
- Creating Oracle database schema, designing tables, integrating with applications, and enhancing query execution performance.
- Developing RESTful endpoints and conducting periodic performance tuning using profiling tools including Postman and JProfile.
- Implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces that meet unified design standards using Angular, HTML, CSS, UI/UX, and Figma design tools.
- Using learning tools such as Degreed to complete recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans.
Pay
The base salary for this position is expected to be $189,592.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary is determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location, and is part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
