Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

The role is located in Jersey City, New Jersey or New York, NY and will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering intelligent, scalable digital solutions. This role combines expertise in AI-driven systems (including AI agents and conversational AI) with end-to-end full stack application development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and performant backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Lead the design and development of full-stack applications by utilizing industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features that enhance user experience and system performance.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Ensure high quality and performant code through comprehensive testing and debugging processes.
• AI & Intelligent Systems Design, develop, and deploy AI agents, chatbots, and conversational AI solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise platforms and business workflows.
• Apply NLP, machine learning, and AI frameworks to build intelligent automation.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve AI model and agent performance.
• Ensure AI solutions adhere to security, privacy, and responsible AI standards.
• Full Stack Development
• Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Build responsive front-end applications using Angular and modern UI frameworks.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs for seamless system integration.
• Implement reactive programming patterns for high-performance applications.
• Manage the full application lifecycle—from development to deployment and monitoring.
• DevOps & Engineering Practices
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 - 9 years of experience in software development with strong full stack capabilities.
• Proficiency in Java (8+), Spring Boot, and Angular (v6+).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Dialogflow, Rasa).
• Solid understanding of NLP, machine learning, and AI integration techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Pay

The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting. Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
