About the role

The Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) will serve as a collaborative partner ensuring the institution's financial health and managing its administrative operations to support FC Tech's mission.

Job Duties

Reporting directly to the President and CEO and serving as a member of the President’s Performance and Accountability Council (PAC), the VPFA will oversee:

  • Financial and business services
  • Human resources
  • Facilities and campus operations
  • Contracts and procurement
  • Technology and information systems

The VPFA will bring proven expertise in higher education financial management and a demonstrated commitment to fiscal integrity, accessibility, and transparency.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in higher education financial management
  • Demonstrated commitment to fiscal integrity, accessibility, and transparency
  • Operational leadership for financial, administrative, and facilities functions
  • Collaborative partnership ensuring the institution's financial health
  • Experience in overseeing multiple departments and functions

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and administration
  • Experience leading teams and managing budgets
  • Knowledge of higher education policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, and students
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

The annual compensation range for this 12-month position is $125,000-$195,000, commensurate with experience.
