About the role

The Vice President for Enrollment Management is responsible for the overall leadership, development of recruitment and enrollment strategy, and performance of the University's marketing, recruitment, and enrollment management of all undergraduate and graduate programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a Strategic Enrollment Plan that optimizes the University's position in a highly competitive marketplace, increases our overall visibility and ensures achievement of the University's enrollment growth and objectives.
  • Serves as an effective manager of the division to inspire performance and to meet institutional goals and expectations.
  • Collaborates across the campus on issues affecting recruitment, admissions, student billing, financial aid, student-athlete recruitment, graduate recruitment, student orientation, and retention.
  • Selects, guides, and evaluates professional and support staff; oversees training, orientation and professional development of staff to ensure ethical, dynamic, accountable, and innovative recruitment in a goal-oriented environment that seeks to increase enrollment in all markets.
  • Plans, organizes and executes regional, national, and international marketing, communication and recruitment plans to meet enrollment goals for targeted student populations.
  • Oversees the establishment of application policies and procedures and coordinates the proper evaluation of applicants, serving as a liaison with admission staff and members of the faculty.
  • Ensures effectiveness and efficiency of systems and structures to aid enrollment planning, management and decision-making.
  • Directs the enrollment and admission marketing research agendas, driving data-based decision making and adjusts strategy to meet changing market conditions.
  • Coordinates market research and on-going database and operations management programs. Works closely with the Provost and the Dean of the Graduate School on developing graduate and non-traditional programs that will drive enrollment.
  • Provides leadership and utilizes carefully developed admission literature as well as other marketing and advertising materials in traditional, online, and other formats.
  • Provides leadership in the development and execution of student financial aid policies, procedures, awards, scholarship programs and budget levels.
  • Works with the Board and the President to establish annual recruitment and tuition offset goals and then meets those goals.
  • Assists with the strategic planning activities of the University with special attention to those areas that have enrollment implications.
  • Assures adherence to state and federal regulations, institution policies and relevant accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with Intercollegiate Athletics to promote recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
  • Adheres to Converse University, Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.

  • A thorough understanding of and commitment to the strategic uses of all resources, including financial aid, in enrollment management.
  • The ability to lead and manage a staff and establish excellent working relationships with the Board of Trustees, president, vice presidents, deans, faculty, staff, alumni, and others in the community.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and speaking skills.
