Position Summary
The Vice President, Escrow and Cash Operations is responsible for the overall leadership of the Escrow and Cash management areas, including:
- Tax and Escrow Administration
- Cash Management and Cash Processing
- Mortgage Insurance (MI, PMI, and FPI) and property insurance administration activities
- Credit Bureau Reporting activities
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead managers and staff responsible for Tax and Escrow Administration, Cash Management, and Cash Processing.
- Manage Mortgage Insurance (MI, PMI, and FPI) and property insurance administration activities, ensuring accurate premium collection, claim processing, policy maintenance, and investor compliance.
- Lead Credit Bureau Reporting activities, ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant reporting in accordance with all applicable consumer reporting regulations.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes utilizing AI, improve workflows, and leverage technology to increase operational efficiency.
- Establish operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor departmental performance, service levels, quality, compliance, productivity, and financial results.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls designed to minimize operational risk, improve accuracy, and reduce losses.
- Partner with Servicing Operations, Default, Customer Experience, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, and Technology to implement strategic initiatives and operational enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with agency, investor, client, state, and federal servicing requirements, including applicable CFPB, FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Escrow and Cash Management experience.
- Experience leading operational transformation in Escrow and Cash administration, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage servicing regulatory requirements and compliance standards, including CFPB servicing rules, RESPA, TILA, FCRA, Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements, agency guidelines, and investor servicing requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship management, and executive presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through growth, change, and complex operational environments while delivering measurable business results.
