About the role
We are seeking a smart, dynamic, and creative Vice President, Corporate Partnerships to secure new and renew current marketing partnerships that serve as a critical revenue stream for the organization. The Vice President will create and expand corporate relationships at the C-suite and boardroom level, exhibiting a solutions-based approach and high-touch professionalism that reflects the culture of KC Current. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Commercial, and leads all aspects of the department, including nurturing and retaining existing partner relationships while developing strategies to acquire new partners aligned with organizational business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Partnership Sales
- Lead a team focused on B2B relationships and optimizing net partnership revenue
- Drive new revenue opportunities nationally and locally to hit and surpass annual revenue goals
- Bring clarity to prospective partners’ financial and promotional objectives using relevant analytics and metrics to demonstrate tangible ROI
- Partnership Activation
- Lead all aspects of corporate partnership activation across the partnership portfolio
- Manage relationships with key partners, serving as an executive point of contact for top-tier accounts
- Deliver best-in-class account management, service, and support, ensuring 100% fulfillment of all contractual obligations
- Assist in developing an engagement platform to retain existing relationships and generate new business
- Convey a sophisticated understanding of analytics to express and enhance ROI for partners
- Contribute to event planning and execution of partner-sponsored events
- Department Leadership
- Influence, develop, and implement strategic goals, commission structures, and incentive programs to motivate staff
- Assist in developing asset guidelines and standards to support organizational objectives
- Collaborate with Business Strategy & Analytics, Marketing, and other departments to create compelling, measurable presentations
- Coordinate with internal legal and finance teams to ensure contract execution and manage accounts payables/receivables
- Develop staff through mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback
- Additional Responsibilities
- Gameday responsibilities include activation, client entertainment, and contract fulfillment
- Conduct business during non-traditional hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Interact with clients and prospects during events
- Travel may be required
Requirements
- Proven track record of driving new and retaining existing revenue in the corporate partnerships space
- Thorough knowledge of the sports industry and market conditions
- Comfortable working with and presenting to senior executives
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Customer-focused, team player with ability to lead sales and activation staff
- Excellent business research and problem-solving skills
- Strong prospecting and leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to meet challenging sales objectives in a high-profile, competitive marketplace
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic activation programs
- Track record of providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated sales leadership experience in corporate partnerships
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Schedule
- Flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts), and holidays
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives
