Vice President - Chief Estimator - Bridge - Civil Construction - KS

About the role

We are seeking a construction VP or Chief Estimator with a mid-sized bridge, railroad, civil, and steel contractor/producer in the Kansas City area. The position offers equity pay and involves oversight of all estimating and personnel. Ideally, we seek an experienced VP or Chief Estimator. However, we are also open to considering an up-and-comer estimator ready to take their career to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of all estimating processes
• Personnel management within the estimating department
• Collaboration with project teams to ensure accurate cost estimates
• Development and maintenance of cost estimation methodologies
• Participation in bid preparation and proposal development
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction estimating or project management
• Experience in overseeing a team of estimators
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software

• Proven track record of successful project delivery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations
