Vice President- Construction
About the role
Awarded the title of one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America, this position oversees senior-level leadership across various business operations. Reporting to executive direction, the role requires proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office Suite, along with a proven track record in project management and fiscal control.
Responsibilities
- Engage in strategic planning initiatives and lead the execution of strategic initiatives for the improvement of the organization.
- Participate or lead the interview and selection process for roles directly reporting to the Vice President, or other identified leadership roles.
- Provide advice, guidance, and direction to direct reports, fostering a productive and enthusiastic team environment through coaching and development.
- Strategically identify individuals for advancement within the organization, focusing on succession planning and aligning Group Leaders and Project Managers with suitable roles.
- Accurately budget and manage sales and gross margin, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and standards.
- Review and approve budgets, interpret financial reports, and apply financial information and company policy to make effective decisions.
- Oversee all business operations under assignment, ensuring compliance with company policy and core values.
- Collaborate with other business units and departments to oversee assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on relevant technical, operational, and professional developments to support the business unit's operations.
- Plan, staff, and supervise all assigned corporate activities, promoting collaboration and resource integration.
- Identify business development goals and represent the company in customer relationships and community events.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training.
- Experience: 5 years of project management experience or 8 years of project management experience.
- Travel: 25-50%.
- Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, fiscal control, and leadership. Proficiency in using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial objectives.
