About the role
Provide service to existing and prospective business customers seeking commercial loans and products. Manage and grow commercial portfolio. Provide support to other employees for overall bank efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Service new and existing commercial customers in accordance and compliance with bank regulation and loan policy.
- Interview potential new clients, gather required information to establish credit worthiness, and negotiate terms, covenants, and pricing within established guidelines.
- Approve or deny credit requests within individual lending authority or refer and present to the loan committee.
- Make regular calls on existing and potential new clients to retain or increase business relationships.
- Monitor loan relationships by reviewing incoming financial information and updating file comments.
- Responsible for growing the loan portfolio.
- Make appropriate collection efforts of delinquent loans in a timely manner.
- Negotiate extensions and modifications of loans and arrange pay schedules.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s loan policy.
- Understand and maintain knowledge of bank regulation.
- Counsel customers, as appropriate, on business and financial matters.
- Make suggestions or provide customers with an appropriate mix of deposit and ancillary bank products.
- Ensure all required documentation is in compliance with loan policy and state & federal regulation.
- Develop and grow the Bank’s book of business by drawing on a network of personal and business contacts, business experience, and knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
- Promote business development and the Bank’s image through community networking and actively participating in community events and activities.
- Participate in organizations that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.
- Provide support to other employees as necessary, including opening and closing the bank as scheduled, following security guidelines, and ensuring employees are prepared for customers.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred; minimum two years post-high school degree or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of five years of commercial lending experience.

Pay
Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.
