About the role
The Vice President, Brand Finance will serve as a strategic business partner to the Brand President and Brand Management team, advising on long-range planning, annual financial plans, and merchandising financial plans. They will oversee financial reporting, ensuring alignment with the financial business model and managing SG&A for global marketing, product, and administrative costs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic business partner to the Brand President and Brand Management team to advise on long-range planning, annual financial plan, and merchandising financial plan.
- Oversee all financial reporting for the brand, ensuring business objectives are aligned with the financial business model.
- Complete and accurately report on SG&A for global marketing, product, and administration costs.
- Collaborate with the Brand Planning leader to develop the merchandise financial plan, ensuring performance against expectations in all categories (footwear, apparel, and accessories).
- Lead pricing and costing throughout the GTM process to ensure gross margins targets are managed and maximized.
- Develop the marketing financial plan with Marketing leadership and the Brand President, ensuring spend is accurately tracked for effectiveness and return on value is met.
- Consult on potential growth opportunities within the brand's strategic roadmap and evaluate all potential investments (new categories, innovation projects, licensing opportunities, etc.).
- Partner with the Regional Finance team for the overall review and communication of financial conditions within the brand.
- Identify areas for system or process improvements with the finance transformation office.
- Ensure business unit’s proper internal control procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Review detailed analyses performed throughout the business cycle.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of financial professionals to achieve all objectives, providing guidance to maintain a high-performing team and develop talent for future opportunities within the broader Finance organization.
Requirements
- Years of Related Professional Experience: 15+
- Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Successful and progressive experience in financial management within a mid to large size consumer goods company, including 5+ years in management.
- Experience with Merchandising Financial Planning, pricing/costing of goods.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, including presenting to large audiences.
- Ability to collaborate and influence business leaders using financial data and analysis.
- A proven track record in re-establishing procedures, implementing processes, and ROI analysis.
- Advanced computer skills required including a solid knowledge of several software programs including mainframe financial/accounting packages and spreadsheet software programs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time.
Pay
Hiring Range: $246,240.00 USD - $307,800.00 USD annually
